Beneath the Surface Post 5

Beneath the surface

BENEATH THE SURFACE

Beneath the surface is an exhibition dedicated to the Global Artelier 21 collective, a group of women artists from Australia, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States.
A close-knit group born with the intention of bringing a breath of fresh air, a new way to express themselves through intrinsic and intuitive art.

Just as in life, first impressions do not always reflect what is around us, we need to explore deeper to understand what is hidden from our eyes. One needs to look beneath the surface to reveal the true nature of creation, to descend into the depths to truly know its history

The works of art presented are inspired by the layers of life, our past, present and future, an excursus into the lives of the artists on display, a laying bare suitable only for those who know and are ready to see beyond all these veils.

20-30/4/23

In the near future, influenced by considerable changes in the field of technology, humanity recognizes itself as an art form, distorting today's concept of it and contributing as a tool for a more complete culture. Traditional, modern and contemporary art evolves in an in-depth recognition of the human in relation to nature, becoming the scenario and protagonist of a new movement. Digital art will be projected into every environment, the body will become the true artistic protagonist. A great transition in civilization needs a change of perception: the computer, what we call Artificial Intelligence, will be the spectator of the exhibitions. It will no longer be us who go to see an exhibition, but technology will learn by itself to recognize us as an art form.

In this future, the concept of "exhibition" is different, in fact the spectator becomes the protagonist. The YAH Factory gallery will host individuals who will undo their now obsolete vision to approach direct participation. In the two rooms, the gallery will change shape, introducing a divider between the introduction to this evolution (in the first room) and its actual realization (in the second). The exhibition includes the use of wall projections of experimental video art and refractions through mirrors, an engaging 360° sound experience. The main sensation that viewers will recognize is belonging to a new, fantastic place, like a "mind room" where to be the focus.

⁕ get inside your ego and dissolve it ⁕ ⁕ ideas are not the truth ⁕ ⁕ you are ready to give up art ⁕ ⁕ lose yourself to eat anything ⁕

Dissoul

Young Art Hunters is proud to present 'Dissoul', a revealing exhibition of fragments.

The exhibition, organized in the brand new The YAH Factory art gallery and curated by the Young Art Hunters association, which has always been involved in the promotion of emerging artists, is a collective of nine Italian and international artists who, through the use of their own technique and artistic expression have laid bare, exploring the innermost parts of themselves, dividing their IO into two different but complementary parts.

An unsettling find, a controversial technique, a revealing mirror, a penetrating vision. These are just some of the fragments of spirit that Young Art Hunters hosts in its gallery. In this act of cutting off part of the person, the will to keep veiled traces in the works of art is reported, therefore being able to be in several places at the same time, depending on the distance of the various pieces of oneself; when they are concentrated, as in this case, innumerable aspects can be recognized and all with great expressive power.

The exhibition continues the cycle of exhibitions dedicated to promising young art, always ready to answer the contemporary questions of today's society.

The exhibition is a journey through five series, each with its own place, time and history.

THE EXHIBITION IS THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S FIRST SOLO SHOW IN MILAN, AT THE BRAND NEW VENUE THE YAH FACTORY.

RICCARDO BANDIERA

His is the cover photo for the October issue of "Il Fotografo" (2014) and the one for "ClickMagazine" (2019), while his other shots can be found published in the third and fourth volumes of "Stolen" (Australia), in "Fluffer" (#4 and #11, Italy), in "Elegant Magazine" (December 2015, France) and in the university magazine "Chaffey Review" (California, USA), in #42 of "It's Different Magazine" (Italy), in "Pretty Vacant" (Italy) and in "FotoCult" in April 2019.

The Factory

Young Art Hunters is proud to present

'The Factory', the first exhibition held in its brand new space in via Bramante 13 a Milan.

The exhibition is a group show of eight emerging artists, chosen from among the different personalities represented by the association, young up-and-comers and international artists, painters and photographers ready to get involved.

REPORTAGE

An important sense of belonging introduces a new path, composed of introspective works: different subjects and techniques that manage to communicate with each other perfectly, while retaining different feelings within themselves. What is striking about this illuminated path is freshness, strength and determination.

The representations on the walls invoke innate courage, a willingness to express to the public the power of the young language, the desire to be able to assert themselves, to make a mark. The exhibition will be set up in the brand new venue The YAH Factory by Young Art Hunters, the name immediately suggests a connection, it was not chosen at random in fact but intentionally inspired by the Factory of Andy Warhol which in the 60s, was a reference point for creatives of all genres. From actors to street artists, the space with silver walls was not a place but the place par excellence where the artistic vein was the host.

The intent is to recreate an environment of exchange, of confrontation, a space for ideas and colors, made by artists for artists. big families never die

To the second edition of the YAH ART DAYS, our staff is proud to present the fifth edition of Illustrami, an exhibition dedicated to art and poetry, where artists and writers confront each other on different themes, letting their ideas merge into a performance of thoughts and colours. This year there is an additional novelty: the book “Illustrami Greatest Hits”

Order now!

On the second day of the YAH ART DAYS our staff is proud to present Unspoken: an exhibition dedicated to all things live! The exhibition presents itself as a dialogue between two realities that relate through the desire to renew themselves through performance. A real live performance based on painting and music, creating connections and inspirations from images and sounds. It will conclude with an exhibition of the works created at the time, together with an experimental DJ set and aperitif.

come ho fatto io.”

The exhibition, consisting of ten new paintings, becomes a moment of reflection for the viewer, a series of questions about existence and its potential. The artist offers a therapeutic vision of rich understanding towards the elusive concept of impermanence, observed from the point of view of the city that must always be renewed as in a cycle, valuing decaying parts to give them new life.

MOSTRA FOTOGRAFICA

Through the words of the great Italian artist Franco Battiato, who died a year ago, Young Art Hunters presents 'Shock in my town', an exhibition dedicated to the young promises of photography in the center of Milan. Kalanka

'Kalanka' is an art exhibition dedicated to color. A study, not just an exhibition, which connects two different types of art, photography and poetry. Irene Vesentini, young promise of photography and Radice, emerging poet, both winners of the last edition of the art contest 'Illustrami 4' will accompany you on a journey, where shots and words will merge together creating an introspective and contemporary vision through a rainbow of colors.

In custodia la luce

Porto nel taschino
un carillon con la tua voce
e arpeggi di violino.
Lo lascio suonare
per le vie del mercato
nei giorni di festa
di tintinnio di denari
ambulanti volgari
e fanciulle tristi.
Vorrei che mi portassi via
nella tua stanza di carezze e tepore
e non chiederò ma saprai:
spegnerai la luce,
accenderai una candela
e mi leggerai una favola.

Arabesco

Ho seguito l’offerta
del tuo respiro
alla mia pelle
disegnare arabeschi d’ambra
come mappe nautiche
sulle mie vene.
Soffiami addosso
bufera alle braci.
Quando mi guardi
è un carnevale di luci.

poetry by Radice

Il rosso sbiadendo perde se stesso

M’erano care
quelle spalle volte
che dai tuoi domini
m’escludevano lo sguardo.
Al di là fingevo
i miei sensi spersi
sulla tua bocca d’oppio,
il tuo petto
d’arenaria e rubini,
le infinite tempeste
che avresti dispensato
se ti fossi voltata,
una sola volta,
a darmi un bacio.

Ma io non credo più,
non vedo più
neppure col pensiero.
Tu non ti volti mai
e prima dea
ora sei
figurina di carta
poster sbiadito
al sole cocente
dei miei desideri insaziati.

Crepami Venere

poetry by Radice

Oliveto

In quei giorni buoni
all’ulivo e rose bianche,
Chiusa
in un grembo materno
ginocchia aderenti al ventre,
cantano lodole al mio orecchio
e tutto sembra
più facile
e giusto.
M’ingentilisco.
Non ho più pietre
da scagliarmi contro.

Potessi indossarti,
rumore bianco,
quando cammino per il mondo
con la paura folle
di non trovare mai
la via che m’appartiene.

La timidezza dei mosaici

Perché ci hai invetrati distanti
nel tuo elogio alla timidezza
Mosaicista
che fai scorrere i cieli
tra i miei e i suoi
frammenti di colore.
Siamo chiome d’albero
viste dal basso
arricciate nel timore
di perdere il sole
all’ombra di rami stranieri.

Paventato
all’idea della tua idea corrotta
condanni i nostri corpi
a un amore in potenza.
E nella voglia d’amarti
e nell’istinto a distruggermi
manderei a puttane
l’equilibrio sacro
che non mi fa spirare.

Mi farò bastare
la consolazione
che il mosaico è salvo
per il mio e il tuo pudore.

La notte buia dell’anima

Un passo falso
sul terreno molle di pioggia
e alla terra non serve
che spalancare le fauci
trascinarmi tra sterpi
nella selva dei suicidi
tra steli di rose spinose
senza fiore
dove l’umore blu cola
come colore solido
sulle pareti
trascinando con sé
il senso di tempo
spazio e azione.
E come il Diavolo
non partorisco
che feti informi
d’acciaio e ghiaccio.
Quanto vorrei
non scrivere questi versi,
non sapere
che l’inferno non è rosso.
Saluto i primi bagliori
fossero sguardo di Dio
che mi riportano alla vita,
sacro santo elenco
di cose da fare
in cui il più bravo
sarebbe
chi non spunta tutte le voci.

Orientarsi

c’è un sottile Paravento in me
che ritrovo ogniqualvolta
il giocoliere confonde
i punti cardinali
quanto è complicato
ripartire daccapo
seminare briciole
stendere fili rossi
quando vorresti
fossero cime di montagne immortali
a guidarti il passo

Stanza cieca

Ascolto i tuoi singhiozzi
al di là di queste mura
addorsata
a quella maledetta stanza
senza porte.
Fossi almeno fantasma
per dirti
anche solo una parola
che non sia di conforto
neppure a me
offrirei agli dèi
in sacrificio
la terra
purché mi trasformino
in una cura.

YAH Art Days

Sad about the end of summer? YAH is ready to lighten up the end of the vacations with a great event!

A 3 DAYS FESTIVAL DEDICATED ENTIRELY TO LIVE ART, MUSIC AND POETRY

YAH

ART

DAYS

CORPI DI TESSUTO

Joel Ivan Thomas . Mila Starosta

The first day opens with a bipersonal exhibition dedicated to two international photographers: Joel Ivan Thomas and Mila Starosta. The theme is that of an unconventional body, a skin that dresses itself and without belonging to any gender, free to fully express itself. Different skins, made of different textures, telling silent stories.

ATTRAVERSO LA MATERIA

Ado Brandimarte

'Attraverso la materia' surrounded viewers in a metaphysical aura, where the protagonist Ado Brandimarte, a sculptor from Ascoli, shows his sculptures in a magical garden. His works modernize the great classical sculptural tradition by involving the maximum systems: fullness and emptiness.

Anna Pennati: Sublimazioni

Young Art Hunters is proud to present the exhibition 'Sublimazioni' by Anna Pennati.

It has been an honor for us to be able to collaborate with an artist of international renown as evidenced by her 25-year career and over 50 exhibitions.
Anna Pennati has given us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in her work, more precisely in her iridescent Sublimations understood as an extreme synthesis that includes the "all" and therefore the return to the primordial "one". In them the spectator finds the lost way back to his own universal origins that slowly open the full perception of himself.

The exhibition has been set up in the brand new Horus space, the first entirely designed and built by our staff following the needs of the artist.

The exhibition is part of the project 'Zona Rossa' promoted by Almach Art Gallery and aimed at giving the opportunity for galleries and art organizations to share art especially in this particular moment.

A performance between thoughts and colours

Illustrami is a cycle of exhibitions dedicated to the interaction between art and poetry, a project that has already had a great deal of positive feedback and which we expect to become even bigger. For this edition, we have selected eight pairs: each consisting of an artist and a poet. The theme has been left completely free, allowing the participants to work without any constraints, making the exhibition a sort of poetry slam, in this case, completely digital.

dietro casa coglievi mughetti.

Poesia di Inpuntadimare

‘Percezioni fisiche generate dalla mente’

Fossero solo negli abissi

quei predatori che mi rendono preda

incubi solidi fatti sterpi

Eppure

spartito di sole pause

mi giungono evanescenti

le note di Chopin

che provi a farmi bere

come gocce per l’ansia

mentre vedo e non sento

la tua mano carezzarmi il capo.

“Soffoco”

Ogni mio impercepibile gesto

è destinato a spezzarmi.

Ma quanto dura questa notte?

Mente mia

silenziati.

Silenziati.

‘Velo malinconico’

Rincorro la paura,

Come quando

fuori piove,

rimango dietro ai tuoi sogni,

Mentre i tuoi occhi

Brillano di delusione,

E cerco di non lasciarti fuggire.

Sale la malinconia,

Come quando la neve si scioglie

E mi smarrisco nelle bugie

Di un passato che non

Riesco a superare.

La tormenta nel tuo cuore,

Ci ha fatto perdere,

Anche se è arrivato il sole

E ci siamo ritrovati

Ad essere stravolti.

I nostri occhi restano comunque

I luoghi divengono impenetrabili,

Fear of The Dark Locandina Instagram

Fear of the dark

fear of the dark

a group exhibition of young artists who will discuss a specific theme: phobias. Common phobias, both modern and ancient, everyday and even the most intimate and personal. A vast subject, but one that touches each of us deeply, evoking our skeletons in the wardrobe, our most distant fears, and giving free rein to them through shapes and colours. The exhibition continues the cycle dedicated to the new promising artists, to whom we want to give freedom of expression and who are asked for maximum commitment and quality, in order to recreate that rich fabric of creativity in the art world, otherwise often stiffened behind pure market logics, which can instead find new lifeblood and stimulus here.

MATER TERRA

Irene Vesentini: Mater Terra

MATER TERRA

Mater Terra' is a photographic exhibition, which reopens the cycle of "physical" exhibitions, interrupted by the Covid-19 emergency. It is the personal exhibition of the very young and talented photographer Irene Vesentini. Class 96, born in Verona, already with a personal style that she has developed and continues to improve over the years.
The exhibition is a journey that starts from a research, where composition, color and light are the protagonists. The main theme that we find in her works is nature, the 'mater terra', which comforts her by creating a direct connection between her vision and her expressive medium, the camera, as if the photographs were an extension and went to investigate the invisible relationships that are created.

a collective of artists confronting the great musical icons that have made history, both in terms of importance and notoriety, from David Bowie to Lady Gaga, will be a journey through the greatest symbols of musical culture.
Each artist has been asked to express and tell us, through his favourite technique and his own style, the icon that has accompanied him over the years, his favourite song rather than the album that completely revolutionized his way of life.
The exhibition therefore wants to combine figurative art with music, exposing a modern charm and current reflection with which we want to give the viewer a content rich in expressive qualities.

The dive
The deafening buzz of the past creeps into the thoughts,
echoing overbearingly in the tacit silence that envelops you.
Like a rough sea that explodes in your chest,
feelings are now inflamed, now they become more meek.
If before the breaks dictated the timing of your life,
now you see them expand infinitely
beating rhythms still unknown to you.
If you used to run away resolutely from any trouble before,
silencing the noise in mind,
now the escape always leads you back to yourself.
So you sit, you breathe.
You vehemently appropriate hidden spaces
and new thoughts that never belonged to you.
You take off the fake costumes with which you tried to disguise yourself
To rediscover yourself free from all judgment and capable of loving you.
A plunge into the priceless and inexhaustible rediscovery of you,
In the deep ocean of unseen possibilities.
The dizzying flow of things drags you,
lightness seduces the mind, indulgence wins the heart.
You are naked, you are alive, are you.

Poem by Maria Teresa Fidanzia

The weight of the word
On the off-white of my cinereal bones
that I pretended to be ivory,
I set a gem
for every word you have sfor every word you have spoken.poken.
I wanted to be pure and hollow
come un santuario scavato nella roccia,
a cave on which to draw primitive graffiti,
original recall alphabets.
On the off-white of my cinereal bones
that you call a carcass,
it has been deeply engraved
the sound of every word you have uttered.
They are nothing but disfigured marble,
fragile and unrecognized even to my eyes.
My mind a jar of whispers and I
reckless Pandora continue to drown in it.
I climbed Ganges and Yamuna up to the source
without water
could wash away its memory.
He was sticking between the ribs,
flashed to the sky more vivid flashes
minerals that have not yet ceased to be polished.
Lying on sand and gravel,
with narrow eyelids,
I asked the current to drag me downstream.
But she has seen further than me.
Dawns when I can't hear you
and soon listen,
I can hear a light wind blowing from the east.
He whispers to me that he will wipe out all my wars.
I'll be constellation
of amethyst and sapphire.
I'll be,
finally,
my talisman.

Time is no longer a limit
Now that you have seen yourself for who you are
Delicate soul
Defend your need to be free

Quarantine in the mirror
It is a waiting quarantine
apparent calm
frustrating powerlessness
and defense mechanisms.
It is a quarantine of concern:
what is not seen creates fear,
what you don't hear creates noise
what you don't know creates a lot of confusion
It's a quarantine of reflection
on wrong policies - always the same -
and the domino effect (global)
of underestimation.
Not everyone accepted and shared the forced arrest of the newspaper,
there were even those who rejected it.
The state of nature manifests itself in an excessive, ancestral, coined
which relegates the rule of law to the background.
Finally everyone understood,
to the sound of bells,
the seriousness of the situation:
- with this enemy no compromise - each ego is defenseless.
Industry slows down, economy slows down, man slows down.
Nature reclaims the cities, the soil, the water, the air.
Wounds on the sidewalks fill up with grass,
like veins in cement and foundation.
The social scissors are becoming clearer and clearer,
inequalities are accentuated.
The rhythms of the day are marked by phone calls and video calls,
the contact is now only virtual.
What happens to compassion?
if, in the jargon, we call the positive subject untore?
It is a pure collective feeling
or is it relegated to a song on the balcony?
We are anxious about a relative, a friend, a neighbor, an acquaintance.
We wait for the peak and the peak drop,
reassuring news from your doctor friend or the news,
the saving homily and the President's conference.
We feel a renewed feeling of humanity
for an out-of-place clump, adjusted gracefully,
for an embrace to the cross, in the deserted temple,
in the panic of fatality.
Let this be a lesson to us: once and for all,
we should decide which way to direct our fate.
Towards the usual self-destructing system,
or towards a new horizon that produces and protects itself.

Poem by Francesco Di Donna

We thank you all for being with us and we take this opportunity to thank especially the artists who participated in this edition of illustrating me by bringing professionalism and quality, elements that for us are the basis of all our projects. We also thank Almach Gallery and Francesco Virgata, who have always been our collaborators and supporters. Thanks again to everyone and to
the next exhibition!

(Silenzio) Guardala in Streaming

Silenzio

Silenzio is a virtual exhibition, a collective of young artists who, through their own personal interpretation and artistic style, will reinterpret the theme in question. What is silence? Especially at a time like this, we are getting used to hearing it, to feeling it more often. Different visions will communicate with each other, because silence does not mean absence of sound for those who have something to transmit. Always surrounded by noise, at this particular time it is easier to perceive it, perhaps it scares us a little but only because we are not used to living with it. Even if the streets are empty, contacts are limited and we are burdened by an increasingly virtual communication, this does not mean that we silence our ideas, cancel our perceptions, stop creating, on the contrary, what we want to do is to draw new stimulus from it.

Almach Art Gallery opens its doors to promising artists and young curators, organising the first of a series of events dedicated entirely to them. Initially in a digital format, the event will take us on a virtual journey, but made up of real works, the exhibition will then be presented in our premises, as soon as it is possible to reopen for visits.

The exhibition continues the cycle dedicated to young people created by Young Art Hunters, to whom we want to give freedom of expression and from whom we require maximum commitment and quality, to recreate that rich fabric of creativity in the art world, otherwise often stiffened behind pure market logic.

The choice fell on two young curators, founders of YAH - Young Art Hunters, who have already collaborated with us on past young art events. Barbara Ludovina Basile and Elia Panori have been entrusted with the task of selecting the artists and the theme of the event, SILENCE, which will be presented simultaneously on all the main streaming and social platforms, such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram etc.

The exhibition 'A MORS - Cuore a Fette' was our first live Streaming exhibition. Many people appreciated the solution of combining visual art with the support of technology to continue to see and feel our artists and not give up culture, even in this delicate situation.

It was created as an exhibition to explore the theme of toxic love, interpreted by seven artists: each one expressed through his personal technique, his own experience making it unique and of great impact.

Antonio Bonfrate

Nicolò Brognara

Nuria Calvi

Rebecca Cardillo

Filippo Cavazzuti

Niccolò Misrachi

Letizia Zuffi.

Each person expressed their experience through their personal technique, making it unique and of great impact.
